With a break in the recent 100 degree and plus weather Alessondra and I took a little trip to the park. We were joined by my lil sis Kerri and her 3 children: Ashlen, Blake & Makayla. Much to our surprise the resident ducks were VERY social, or maybe just REALLY hungry. Whatever the reason "the cousins" had a blast feeding them out of their hands.

A day remembering Papa Bear

Today Alessondra and I visited "Papa Bears Bench". (My father who passed away almost a year ago)
She actually gets very excited when I tell her we are going out there, which I am thankful for. At first I was not sure about her seeing me cry. Her sweet hugs and little voice saying"Mommy it's OK, I'll make you happy, and when we go to heaven it will be HAPPY." This let's me know that she enjoys comforting her mommy.
She and I both love looking at the pictures on the bench and "talking" to Papa Bear.
She said to me "Mommy, are you SURE Papa Bear can hear me? Heaven is so high up there."
OH SO SWEET!

Jeff and I decided early on that we would sit down as a family at the table for meals. Even though Jeff has been extremely busy lately he rarely misses breakfast with Alessondra and I.
After seeing her Daddy eat a healthy version of an egg Mc Muffin, she decides that she will follow in her "Champion's" footsteps and partake in one also.
